Childcare at the Y
We're here to support the whole family
At the Ridgewood Y we are fully dedicated to supporting families and working parents by offering a variety of both long and short-term childcare options that are fun, safe, and engaging. Through programs that focus on development and building community, we remain dedicated to enriching the lives of both children and their families.
Stay and Play
Our Stay and Play provides our members with an option for drop-in childcare while attending classes, special events, or exercising in the facility. Even our youngest members ages 2 months – 11 years become a part of our Y community as they stay engaged with toys, puzzles, coloring, reading, and so much more! Children are welcome to bring a peanut-free snack to enjoy.
Parents Night Out
events provide an affordable, well-deserved break for caregivers, allowing them the flexibility to enjoy an evening out while the kids are having a blast under the watchful eye of our staff. Kids participate in themed evenings which include movies, crafts, games, and more. Now the whole family can have a night to remember!
Ridgewood Y Preschool
The Ridgewood Y Preschool offers a nurturing environment where children can explore, learn, and grow with age-appropriate and unique curriculum offerings. Our staff encourages curiosity and independence while laying the groundwork for a successful transition into traditional schooling. Your child will gain the necessary educational skills, develop socially and emotionally, and feel a sense of belonging outside your home. The preschool offers rolling enrollment, scholarships for qualifying families, flexible half and full-day options, plus on-site before and after care to meet your family’s needs.
Camps
With a variety of summer and school vacation camp programs, the Ridgewood Y offers multiple options to continue your child’s development by adding enrichment, building impactful relationships, and having fun in an inclusive and supportive community.
