GROUP EXERCISE INSTRUCTORS
The Ridgewood YMCA group exercise instructors work directly under the Fitness Center Director to contribute to the growth of our Health and Wellness department while leading dynamic group exercise classes. Your efforts will ensure these programs not only reflect our core values, but also effectively meet the diverse needs of our members and the wider community, enhancing their overall well-being.
PERSONAL TRAINER
The Personal Trainer at the Ridgewood YMCA is responsible for delivering personalized training sessions designed to help clients achieve their fitness goals, whether it’s improving overall wellness, enhancing athletic performance, supporting weight loss, or increasing quality of life. This role requires a motivated, customer-focused professional who can assess client needs, create customized workout plans, and provide guidance in a supportive and encouraging environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter committed to maintaining high customer service standards while adhering to the Ridgewood Y’s established procedures and protocols.
MASSAGE THERAPIST
The Massage Therapist will provide effective therapeutic massage/bodywork tailored to clients’ needs, promoting overall wellness. This role requires a self-starter committed to high customer service standards and adherence to Ridgewood Y’s established procedures and protocols.
ASSISTANT SWIM TEAM COACH
The assistant swim team coach is responsible for on-deck instruction and coaching of youth swimmers. Responsibilities include assisting the Director of Competitive Swimming and other coaching staff with day-to-day operations.
SUMMER CAMP COUNSELORS
Are you looking for a job where you can make new friends, be outdoors, and act as a positive role model for kids? Search no further! The Ridgewood YMCA Camp Woods is looking for upbeat and caring individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of our campers.
Our day camp counselors spend each day leading activities to guide kids in learning new skills and becoming better people. You’ll be responsible for the overall wellbeing of your group of campers and communicating with your Camp Director. Don’t have experience? All our training happens before camp starts and returning staff are ready to support you. Counselors are expected to be kind, patient, creative, and outgoing while actively supervising groups. ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF SUMMER CAMP
Behind our terrific counselors are supportive directors! Be the face of Camp Woods as the leader of one of our age groups: 3-5s, 6-7s, and 8-14s. You’ll be responsible for supervising staff, communicating with parents, executing schedules, and being your group’s overall point person.
Directors are expected to make decisions using good judgment, be organized, address camper behavioral needs, and collaborate with fellow staff. We’re a team at the Ridgewood YMCA and if you’d like to join us, apply NOW!

SUMMER CAMP HEALTH OFFICER
Ice packs and bandaids and tweezers, OH MY! We are searching for an individual who is ready to respond to any situation big or small, with a calm and clear mind. You’ll be responsible for maintaining health records, handling medications, and responding to radio calls from our counselors to treat any injuries. Current professional level CPR, AED, First Aid, and Epi-Pen Certification is required. We’re a team at the Ridgewood YMCA and if you’d like to join us, apply NOW!
