Seventh Grade Initiative
Calling all Seventh Graders!
The Seventh Grade Initiative offers a complimentary Ridgewood Y membership to all seventh graders for the duration of the school year. This program was conceived and implemented by the New Jersey YMCA State Alliance to support and encourage teens to adopt healthy lifestyles at an age when they are beginning to make their own choices regarding health and wellness.
This complimentary membership grants seventh graders member-level access to the facilities including our group fitness classes*, teen-only fitness classes, lap swim sessions**, fitness centers, and gymnasium.
The Y offers a safe place where teens can find opportunities to cultivate values, skills, and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health, and educational achievement.
