Our sports programs provide a welcoming space for participants to challenge themselves, connect with others, and embrace a healthy lifestyle. Playing sports fosters self-confidence, reduces stress, and builds lasting bonds—all while adding a dose of friendly competition! Whether you’re sharpening your game skills or simply having fun, sports at the Ridgewood Y help adults lead healthy, balanced lives.
breakers masters swim team
Open to all adult members, the program consists of coach-led, team, and individual practices to help you achieve your swimming goals in a supportive community of likeminded members. Choose to train for yourself, or take it to a competitive level and represent the Ridgewood Y at swim meets with the team.

Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of badminton, table tennis, and tennis. A great way to get indoor exercise with others, pickleball is easy for beginners to learn but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players.
Pickup games are held on three courts in the gymnasium every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00-11:30AM
Registration opens two weeks prior to each session, and is strongly encouraged

This is a three-class series held over the course of one week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00-9:00AM.
Beginner and Intermediate level series are available.
Pickup games are held every week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00AM-11:30AM
Join us to Learn Pickleball Fast! From the dink to the lob, we’ll take the time to teach you, and introduce you to the great sport of pickleball.
Just bring a positive attitude and a desire to learn—the Y has everything else: paddles, balls, and nets will be provided. Our pickleball instructor will lead you through the court, rules, and the basic strategy to get you ready to play with a group. After the class, you are welcome to stay and put your new skills to the test in our weekly pickup games!
