The Ridgewood YMCA Breakers helps young swimmers strive for a healthy, active lifestyle while also embracing the Y’s four core values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Our trained coaching staff focuses on athletic development and aims to improve swimmers’ competitive skills and endurance through progression and an appropriate level of competition. The Ridgewood YMCA Parkinson’s Walk is more than just a walk—it’s a gathering of community to connect, learn, fundraise, and celebrate.

Participate in the 1.1-mile walk that loops Bergen County Wild Duck Pond, enjoy specialized programming from local Parkinson’s groups and advocates, and connect with industry representatives, community partners, and Parkinson’s experts to learn about valuable resources for individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s disease.

The 2025 Ridgewood Run by North Jersey Masters Running Club

Veterans Memorial Field

The Ridgewood Run®, a spirited day of multiple outdoor running events promoting health, wellness, family and community, is the perfect way to kick off summer. It is produced by the North Jersey Masters Running Club, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, and since 1976, has taken place annually every Memorial Day, in the Village of Ridgewood. In addition to drawing local and county residents, the race attracts thousands of participants, volunteers and spectators from across New Jersey, the tri-state area and beyond.

Four distinct events provide the center of activity in a festive, open-park atmosphere, including a 10K, 5K, a 1 Mile Run and the Ridgewood YMCA Kids Fun Run. All course are USATF certified.

Exciting things are planned for 2025!
